Sonic Colors to Feature New Characters

Despite the fact that they seem aware of the "Sonic Cycle", Sega is introducing new characters into the Sonic franchise. Sonic Colors will feature a new character known as Pink Wisp which will give Sonic extra hard spikes that will let him stick to walls. There's also a rumored Green Wisp that will turn Sonic into a green blob with spikes and allow him to hover somehow.

Who's excited about new characters in a Sonic game? Anyone? I didn't think so. When will Sega learn their lesson and keep the franchise to Sonic, Robotnik and Tails?
