So, about XBox 360's successor...
So apparently, the 360's succesor will alledgedly (ign.com/articles/2012/01/24/xbox-720-will-be-six-times-as-powerful-as-current-gen) have a 20% performance edge over Wii U's. What about that... And since when performances really mattered? I mean, there are a few PS3 games that are ugly as crap but are pretty fun...
Plus, how can they assert the overall power of the machine based only upon alledged GPU performances!?
Oh IGN... You are so full of lame.
On a sidenote: I'm a big boy now! I'm a Gameboy Advance! Yeah!

We knew that with the Wii U launching before Sony or Microsoft's next consoles that it was going to be the least powerful system of the next generation. Part of this, though, I think is just talk. I really think there is a sentiment out there among most media outlets that they don't want Nintendo to be successful. They talk how there's no bias, but you can tell in the way that they cover all of the platforms. Sony and Microsoft get a ton of coverage while the majority of Wii coverage is some form of talking the system down.
If you go back and look at history it's never the most powerful system that is the biggest seller. It's always the one with the best library of games and for the majority of people that's still a Nintendo system. Sure there is a huge market out there that only want the dudebro game and that's the market that Microsoft is filling.

Yup, you are right about that...
Yup, you are right about that... I stopped listening to the Gamescoop podcast after Craig Harris left because the show turned into a big anti-Nintendo conspiracy. I lost alot of the respect I had for "journalists" like Greg Miller & Daemon Hatfield & that's a shame. At some point you realize that the competent journalists that they sometimes are is burrowed pretty deep. At least IGN's Nintendo Team is competent enough.
I talk mostly about IGN, but it is widespread... At least there are more than a few respectable outlets for Nintendo News(Like Nintendo Okie )
Regarding power, if those informations are true & accurate, I think we might see a situation like we saw in the Gamecube days with Nintendo's console resting comfortably between the current PS3 & the next XBox. I think it's a sweetspot & I think Nintendo will greatly benefit from it.
On a sidenote(because I love sidenotes), I think the Gamecube is my second favorite home console, just behing the SNES.

I don't trust any of this rumor stuff. We won't know the specs of the next systems until the Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo tell us.
I don't think people want Nintendo to fail. I think a lot of the problem is we all know Nintendo can do awesome things. So when they just phone it in, as they did for the launch of the 3DS and how they are for the Wii now, it just makes everybody mad. People talk about what they are interested in and it's hard to find exciting stuff on Wii right now.

Aha!
I'll tell you what's exciting on Wii... MY WHOLE BACKLOG!!! LOL
That, plus I briefly tried some of those legal New Super Mario Bros. Wii hack this morning & it was pretty convincing. Can't wait for Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii to FINALLY get a release. (youtube.com/watch?v=5oP09xiQ0vs)
That plus the fact that I might get that Rythm Heaven Fever... The more I watch trailers, the more I'm convinced. (youtube.com/watch?v=zjX0k_UFdlM)

Re: So, about XBox 360's successor...
I’m working on an article that will hit the site later today about what I think Nintendo could do to reinvigorate the Wii ahead of the Wii U launch. Rhythm Heaven looks like a really fun game. The DS game was fun (at least the demo was) and Mario Party 9 looks like it might be the best game in that franchise for a while now.
Xenoblade, of course, looks great. Hopefully The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower will get releases over here.

About the Last Story
About the Last Story, I'm pretty excited for it but until recently I wasn't exactly quite sure what to expect... But then, yesterday I stumbled upon this video.
Awww yeah!
Awww yeah!

OMG that looks AMAZING! I thought I was watching a PS3 gameplay video. I may actually pick this up (if it comes to the US that is). It's a rare thing for me to pick up Wii games anymore but watching this gets me really excited! Glad that the Wii has some of these more serious games out there.
Re: So, about XBox 360's successor...
This is one of the two Project Rainfall games I was most interested in, Pandora’s Tower being the one I want most. Xenoblade caught me after I saw some of the footage from it and I’ve got my pre-order ready for the game. I can’t wait to get a hold of that one.
This one looks like a good Final Fantasy style game for the Wii, which is something it’s been lacking. Pandora’s Tower sort of fills that God of War itch that I have been looking for as well. I hope, hope, hope that this one gets moved over here as well.
