Still a RRoD so I really got nothing to say. Just wanted to fill up the forum page since there hasn't been anything posted in the 360 page for... a looooooong time.
Re: No comment
I had 3 RRoD's before finding "the little console that could". I went with an Elite model. They've always seemed to run better.

Mine WAS an "Elite" model. Perhaps it wasn't as "Elite" as it could have been. Or perhaps it didn't know it was an Elite model

I've not had any problems with my Halo 3 Xbox. It's been pretty reliable. I did, however, go through five Wii's before finally getting one that lasted more than a couple of months. I think the biggest problem was at the time I was living in a house with a smoker. When we moved out those problems stopped.
Re: No comment
When you said a smoker I thought you were talking about a thing to smoke meat in. I was like, why does Tony keep his Wii so close to a meat smoker. Then I figured it out.
My 360 red ringed once. I had to do the whole send it to get it fixed thing. Rather painless and easy. My only problem was UPS wouldn't leave it at my house and I was never home when they tried to deliver it. I don't know of anybody that owns a 360 that hasn't had a red ring. That's what happend when you rush hardware to market.

True... but the Elite models didn't come out til much later. They got no excuse to RRoD.
Re: No comment
Has there been a lot or Elites that red ring? I haven't heard of as many but it only takes one in your case I suppose.
Re: No comment
Man, if I kept my Wii in a smoker with some BBQ that would be so great. I like both of those things, but I don’t know how the system would react to BBQ Sauce.
I haven’t heard of an epidemic of Elite’s red ringing, but I’m sure that there have been some. it’s just sort of the nature of electronics. I’m waiting for my Wii to bite the dust. You know after four years of working perfectly it’s going to rebel at some point.

o.O
Oh man. The Elite was an out of the blue gift from the wife. I wonder if it's the shape of things to come. I'm scared.
